Ok, I am going to try updating but am a little confused as the folders are not the same. I downloaded event-espresso-core but the folder for the current plugin on my site is just event-espresso. Should I just upload the contents to the event-espresso folder? Currently running Version 3.1.35.2.P. See this thread from what brought this all on: https://eventespresso.com/topic/email-confirmations-not-being-sent/

Hi Jake,

EE3 and EE4 are actually 2 separate products.

The latest version of EE3 is 3.1.37.6 and it was this version I was referring to in your previous thread. You can update to EE4 if you prefer, however it is not just an update to EE3 but a new system built from the group up although most of your data can be migrated over from EE3.

Before going any further with the update can you let me know which of the EE3 add-on’s do you currently use?

Not using any add ons now. I would prefer to stay in EE3 then. Is there a link to the most recent version of that available?

Hi Jake,

We do recommend staying up to date but in your case, this would be a migration to the new Event Espresso 4 platform.

This would be a major change so please take a look at this link to see if you are interested:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-upgrade-event-espresso/#migrate-to-event-espresso-4

My recommendation would be to switch to an Event Espresso 3 support license so you can get your current software updated as the latest software for Event Espresso 3 is compatible with the latest version of WordPress.

If you would like to change, then please contact us privately here:

I did look at the prior support post and it looks like you recently starting having trouble with emails.

If this was previously working but stopped, then their may have been a change on the local email server. A transactional email service like Send Grid or Postmark app can help:

Hello, I have updated the plugin and the emails are still not sending for confirmations. I did confirm that the emails can be sent from event espresso by the website by going in and manually updating the payment status for one so it is not an issue with the host. Not sure what else to do to make it so that the confirmations will send to the admin and to the customer after they signup for the event?

Hi,

Are you using a transactional email service like SendGrid or Postmark app?

They can help with email deliverability issues.
