Hello writers! Are you interested in writing for the event-tech space? We work with writers and guest contributors to publish content on multiple website blogs about events: technology, trends, software, platforms, news and our eCommerce software Event Espresso, built for WordPress. We invite you to write for us and perhaps we can write for you too.

Our eCommerce software products are used across the globe by businesses, non-profit organizations and entrepreneurs who organize events as a business or use events to support their business. Technology is an increasingly important part of events and what you have to say can influence a large audience in several industries. Your articles and stories will reach readers across the globe in almost every industry.

Our readers

Guest writers have the opportunity to write for an audience that seeks information to help them to plan events and utilize technology in order to help with their event registration and event management processes. These readers are often organizations that are in the business of hosting events, or organizations that use events to support their business. 

We welcome content that is focused on specific topics that are related to our products that is timely and thorough. Articles should highlight products and services and information related to improving the event management processes for businesses and individuals.

What we publish

Content should be educational, with a focus on relevant industry keywords. Topics can also include popular industry related content, trends, news, sales enablement, and feature driven topics.

Our readers are interested in topics related to event registration and event planning to help them to promote, plan and manage their events in an electronic format from their WordPress website.

What we don’t publish 

We don’t publish promotional articles, sales pitches for products or services, or press releases. We will not publish any articles that contain backlinks to promote other websites unless they are relevant to our brand and the content. If any content is submitted with promotional links which are not fitting within the content topic and our brand, it will not be reviewed or considered.

How to write for us 

Guidelines for Article Submission

Idea Submission: Before pitching an idea to us, please go through our website and review our blog content and product information. When reviewing our content take note of the writing styles, topics, and article formats used so that you can mimic similar content styles.

Please come up with three unique content ideas that you would have interest in writing about and submit those as your topic ideas. Submit your ideas using this form at the end of this page.

  • When pitching an idea please identify which category [from above list of 5 categories] your topics fall under.
  • After pitching for article submission, we will choose a topic that most interests us at the time for our blog.
  • When we notify you of the specific topic chosen, we will provide you with a link to a Google doc to use when submitting your article.
  • Word count between 750 to 1000 unless otherwise noted.
  • Give proper titles, H1, and H2 tags as required.
  • Include at least 1 and up to 3 internal links.   
  • Content must be 100% plagiarism-free. 
  • You can include a personal photo and the author’s short bio.
  • Outline the content and give a proper small brief about it. 
  • Once an article is published, we do not allow revisions, if it is required we can make changes from our end.
  • Do not submit content that has been published somewhere else.
  • If we publish your content you can’t publish that article on any other site or blog.
  • Once published we will email you the article link.

Content Optimization Guide 

  • Include heading format (H1, H2, H3 etc.)  
  • Keep your title to 55 characters or less to make sure it is not truncated. 
  • If a keyword is assigned to the article, ensure the keyword is in the title
  • Use the target keyword within the first 100 words of the article.  
  • The target keyword and related terms should be used 3-5x in the content. 
  • Word count is between 750 and 1000 unless otherwise stated
  • Include high quality images and or videos. Images or video should be under creative common license and also provide image source where necessary.
  • Use the same target keyword in the alt text of images.
  • Prior to submitting your article check it for spelling or grammar mistakes.
  • By submitting your guest post to us you allow us to own the copyright and we reserve the right to make edits and adjustments as we see fit.

Readability 

Help readers out by using short paragraphs. Aim for no more than 5 or 6 sentences per paragraph.

Use frequent style elements like: 

  • bullet points 
  • numbered lists 
  • subheadlines 
  • pull quotes 
  • high quality images [include alt text]

Important note about external links:

  • We allow up to two keyword rich anchor text links per article.
  • If you want a byline link in addition to that, you can include a link to your brand name.
