Will it work for my requirements and if so, which version shall I use?

Hi,

I am about to host training Events (IRL).
My idea is that I am going to buy a domain and install WordPress.
The site itself will have no information, but the idea is that each Event that will be held, shall have a direct link to it that will be shared/marketed via Social Media and e-mails.

Each person/business that wants to attend shall buy a ticket online and shall directly pay online in Swedish currency using Credit or Debit Card, maybe PayPal. If the person/business is outside Sweden, they shall anyhow pay in Swedish currency.

When the purchase is completed, they shall receive an e-mail with a ticket and also a receipt attached containing all legal information (this according to Swedish tax authority).

I would like to have the opportunity for the participants to have their ticket in their SmartPhone, but also print it and this should easily be scanned to register their attendance.

The important thing is that it works in Sweden and that the payouts from the providers of the credit card processing is trustable and do not take too much charge.

Is the above do-able with Event Espresso?
And which version will work with my project?

Thank you very much for an URGENT reply!

Regards,
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

Event Espresso 3 would meet your needs as it has support for a mobile app.

Payments could be made via PayPal and if they are an international customer, then PayPal will convert the currency for you.

The legal information for taxes could be manually added to the confirmation email that is sent out after a successful registration.

Registrants/attendees can print out their tickets or open the ticket link on their smartphone. You could then scan the QR code using the Event Espresso HD mobile app which is available for Android and iOS.

Hi Lorenzo!

Thank you very much for your response!

I have yet another question. I am most likely going to use Payson as a PSP (Payment Service Provider or Payment Gateway) I think it is called. They are providing the service so my customers can pay with their credit/debit cards when purchasing tickets. They are similar to Paypal and others. They are quick in approving my company for their service. ๐Ÿ™‚

Will it be possible to use them?
Do you have any plug-in/module supporting them like you do for some others?

Hope to get a quick response, as I am in an urgent situation in getting a website up for a specific Event and need to choose what solution to use. I am very much looking into Event Espresso 3 as my choice, but I need quick help and response. ๐Ÿ™‚

Regards,
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

Currently we do not have a gateway to integrate within Payson, if you use this provider you would need a custom gateway built to integrate the two.

We off this service here:

https://eventespresso.com/product/custom-gateway-development/

Event Espresso 3 supports multiple payment gateways if you wish to use one that is already available, a full list can be found here:

https://eventespresso.com/features/payment-options/
(click the ‘EE3 Gateways’ tab for a full list)

Hi Andreas,

Payson is not a supported EE3 payment gateway.

We have a full list of supported gateways here: https://eventespresso.com/features/payment-options/ (please make sure you have selected the EE3 tab as EE3 and EE4 support different gateways).

It is possible to create a custom gateway, either by your own coding/developer or (if resources allow) via us.

Yourself/your developer: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/custom-gateway-integration/
Via Event Espresso: https://eventespresso.com/product/custom-gateway-development/

Obviously, creating a custom gateway does take time, often several weeks, so that should be taken into consideration.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
