Wait List for Event Espresso 3 – Does the Wait List take payments?

If I create a waitlist for an event in EE3, does it accept payments?

This way, I can move someone to the right class and they have already paid.

This article isn’t clear on that feature.

I would appreciate any information or experience on this!

Hi there,

In EE3 a ‘Waitlist’ event is basically just another event with a special status so if you set up the waitlist event with a price, then yes, you can have the user pay to register onto that waitlist event.

So, in short, you have an event with a limit, when registrations reach that limit if you have a ‘waitlist’ event set up on it then registrations will be directed to that waitlist event in place of the original one.
