HI guys.

Last friday my website amsn.com.au started to behave oddly. It was taking about 45 seconds to load a single page. After contacting my ISP they advised to move to a faster hosting package.

I did this last night.

Now when I try and enroll I am able to select an event and select a ticket type once you attempt to go the enrollment page it just appears blank.

Steps i have tried
1. Disably on plugins except event esspresso – no change
2. deleting and remaking the enrollment page.

This also did not improve the situation.

I hope you can suggest some further options as my website has now been non-operation for at least 4 days.

kind regards
Brent
ps I will pm you login details now in case you are able to have look around the backend

Just an update. I was wondering if the migration to the faster server could have resulted in a php memory limit problem as per some similar threads. I emailed my ISP and they increased it to 512 mb. This did not resolve the issue.

Hi Brent,

Have you enabled WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG to see if any errors appear? If not, please give it a try. https://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG

As you are using a custom page for the ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT page, just double check and make sure there are no other pages containing that shortcode (you can search for ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT via the search box in the All Pages area). Check the Trash too.

Also, flush your permalinks (Settings > Permalinks > just click the save button).

Also, is the site OR server running any caching? If so, clear it and make sure EE pages are whitelisted (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/)

Dean !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your a bloody genius 🙂

when I turned on dbug it came up with an error on the time format. for some resort wordpress had resorted to a custom time setting during the site migration. this was not compatible with EE so it was crashing.

thanks so much this problem is now resolved and we are back online. I just spent 4 days on this so im going surfing now.

is it ok to leave the debug mode set to true ?

Debug mode should be set to false when it’s a live site.
