WordPress made some changes in version 4.2, causing Event Espresso to break in certain circumstances. We strongly suggest you update Event Espresso to the latest version if you are using WordPress 4.2 (preferably before you update to WordPress 4.2). If you are experiencing any of these problems, please try updating Event Espresso first:

Updated EE4 core and plugins then updated to WordPress 4.2. It looks like the EE4 Printable Ticket is suffering from this issue. Lost the ticket templates menu option upon update and removing and reinstalling the plugin has not resolved the issue. Any ideas on what to look at next? Thanks! |

Reinstalled the plugin. Functionality is back. Looks like I’m good to go. Still not sure what got scrambled in the upgrade process. |

Will EE3 survive an update of WordPress to version 4.2? |

@Lucas – glad to hear you got back up and running, please do let us know if any problems occur.

We have found some additional issues caused by WordPress’ database changes during these recent security updates. If you are experiencing any of these problems, please try updating Event Espresso first:

I cant update event expresso. An automatic update for Event Espresso is available but your Support License Key is invalid. Either you have entered the wrong key on the Event Espresso General Settings page (EE3+ users) or Your Organization Settings page (EE4+ users) OR you no longer have access to the updates for this plugin. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now. ?? |

Any known issues with messages being totally messed up? Every relationship is incorrect, click to edit the General Registration Notification template and the next page says I’m editing the “Email Registration Approved Template” That’s just one example. I was on an older version a while ago (4 or 5 months ago maybe), and I believe there was an issue updating the database, not certain though. Even default To: field shortcodes are messed up in custom templates custom templates (I’ve set custom email addresses there previously, and they’re gone after saving that template). There are no recent database backups unfortunately. Anyone have the a .sql file for a recent version that I can import into my WP database? |

@Carlos – it looks like your licence key was reset recently – if the issue is still occurring, please start a new forum thread and we can assist from there.

@Dean, What if I delete the EE4 messages wp tables (just the 2 tables) and then disable and re-enable the plugin? Will the 2 tables I delete be re-created with their default values? |
Hi Tyler, I’ve replied to your support post here: Please take a look at the information there and reply to that support post. Thanks — |
