Support License Key not active

Hello,
Bought new Support License Key today, the ‘Everything license’ I have entered and saved the key on the event espresso general settings tab in the Support License Key area. However, when viewing my account on https://eventespresso.com/ it says, ‘Not currently activated on any websites’. Additionally the site says there is an update, however will not update and is asking me to buy a license.

Where do I start troubleshooting this? Current Version 3.1.36.6.P is on WordPress 5.4.

Hi,

The reason the key will not activate is because your site has Event Espresso 3 installed, and the license is an EE4 Everything license. If you want to continue using EE3 you can switch to an EE3 license. There’s a license switcher on your account page.

If you want to migrate your site to EE4, you can follow this guide:

In other words, the software on your site needs to match the type of license.

Hello,

We used the downgrade process and the account still says EE4 license.

How do we get the EE3 license to work now that we selected EE3 personal?

I’m sorry for the trouble. Your account has been switched to an EE3 license and its Support license key ready to be used on your EE3 site.
