I did the migration today from EE3 to EE4, and now the registration area of my site is stuck in maintenance mode. What do I do?

Hi there,

Did you follow the prompts to go to the Maintenance page to run the migrations? After the migrations are finished, there will be an option to disable maintenance mode on the Event Espresso > Maintenance page.

Yes. In the maintenance area, it says that Maintenance Mode is off. But on the site, it says that it is in Maintenance Mode

Do you have any caching enabled on the site or does the host run server side caching at all?

If so does you host provide an option to clear the cache?

If you go to Event Espresso -> Maintenance, with Maintenance mode set to off, save the settings.

Does that disable Maintenance Mode?

That seemed to work, thanks so much!

Great 🙂 but which step worked?

If you have caching enabled on the site you will need to exclude the EE critical pages from the cache, if your host runs server side caching you will need to request they exclude the pages from that caching too.

You can read more about it here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/

Otherwise you will continue to run into problems.

Thank you, when I cleared the cache, that worked…so now I have adjusted the cache settings on Comet Cache and Wordfence, and hopefully we’ll be good now. Thanks again!
