I’ve been trying to set up a test trial flow so I know how it would be if it would go live. I’ve already set up my account with paypal sandbox to put xxx amount of funds to test. Then in the paypal module of EE I’ve put my API info for the sandbox account to receive funds. I keep getting “security header is not valid” each time though. Thanks!

Hi there,

security header is not valid

can be a few different issues, however 99.9% of the time the API credentials are incorrect.

This is for PayPal Pro correct?

Is your sandbox account a PayPal Pro account?

Have you set the PayPal Pro payment method in debug mode? – http://take.ms/iOj0Q

Double check there is no whitespace before/after any of your API login details in the payment method.

Actually it isn’t a paypal pro account. Is there a gateway to use regular paypal?!

I updated to paypal pro under the developer site. I get a error code this transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant config.

I fixed it. Super easy fix!

Yes there is, it’s actually PayPal Express and you can get your credentials for the PayPal Express gateway by following this guide:
