We recently migrated our site to WP Engine and since then have not been receiving emails when someone registers for our events. I have combed through our settings and your forums and can’t find the problem. Our students also aren’t getting confirmation emails with arrival instructions. This is a major issue, please help. |

Hi there, Do other emails work from your site, for example, password resets? Event Espresso doesn’t actually send mail itself, it builds out the emails and passes them to wp_mail() which then does whatever you’re server is set to do with them. So if it worked before the move but no longer does it sounds like something up on the server itself. Are you sending your mail through WPEngine’s mailer or do you have an SMTP plugin set up? I had a quick look over your site and can see your running 3.1.36.5.P and whilst we haven’t changed anything with email in a long time, the latest version of EE3 is v3.1.37.17.P, is there something preventing you from updating to the latest? |

Hi Tony, sorry for the delay. I didn’t realize I had a response 🙂 Other emails do work through our site. For example, Gravity forms sends notifications of new form submissions. We do have an active license, and have the key entered correctly for the plugin. Today, I have finally been able to update the plugin: upload of current version via SFTP was successful! I do see a currently active mail plugin called “mailgun”. After updating, I have tested the email functionality again by signing up for an event. I did not receive confirmation (as the attendee) and the notification did not reach the event managers. So, we are still having the same trouble. —————————————————————————— The message on the WP plugins page was “A new version of Event Espresso is available. View What’s New with version 3.1.37.17.P. A valid Support License Key is needed to enable automatic upgrades. Your current account does not allow automatic upgrades on more than one domain. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.” I also tried to update via the WordPress Updates page, and got this message: Thanks for any insight you can provide! |

Great, thank you.
Ok, so your email is set to go through mailgun? When you receive an email from the site, does it show as its sent from mailgun? If you add a plugin like WP Mail Logging and retest a registration,c an you see the emails in the log? I’m trying to confirm if the emails are being triggered on the site and then dropped, or not triggered at all. |
