Registration Confirmation E-Mail Not Indicating "Not Approved" Items

Hello! Tony was helping this in another post but I didn’t get a follow-up response to my secondary comment/question, so I am posting the additional item here as a new thread. Please see the original post for reference: https://eventespresso.com/topic/delaying-ticketing-link-being-sent/#post-238591

Along the same situation that I originally posted on, I am noticing that the registration confirmation e-mail (standard template) is only being sent to confirm the event that was automatically approved upon registering. For the paid event I mentioned, I have registrations set to “not approved”, or pending approval as I see it. That might pose a problem to us, because I would like the registrant to know all of what they signed up for, even if it is pending approval.

I tested this out from a different angle – whereby I signed up for only an event that is paid and that is set to “not approved” by default. The default message template for this pending-approval registration was sent as I had wanted and had expected.

Do you know how I can get around this situation so that the registrant gets properly notified on the onset for both approve and “pending approval” registrations? Can I make a custom e-mail that tackles both registration scenarios in one singular email (for efficiency)?

Thank you for your help!

Hi there,
If I understand your question, it sounds like you want to use the Registration Multi-Status Summary message type.

Hi Josh,

Thanks for pointing me to that. I just enabled it, but I’m finding that the message isn’t being triggered. My test setup had OneNote event that gets approved automatically, and another that gets defaulted to “not approved”. When I register for each event individually, I get a registration confirmation message and a registration pending approval message, respectively. But when I register for both events together, I only get the registration confirmation email indicating only the event that was automatically approved. No other email gets sent to indicate that the other event is pending approval (again, only when there are multiple registrations together).

Any ideas of how I can solve this? I am trying to dig into how these messages are triggered and why the multiple event registration email is not being triggered, but can’t figure it out.

Thanks!

Josh

Do you have a shortcode that parses to an email address in the To: field of the Registration Multi-Status Summary message editor? Also, an important thing to note is there are two contexts for the Multi-Status summary: 1) Event Admin and 2) Primary Registrant.

So when you’ve switched to edit the message for the Event Admin recipient, the To: field should have either
[EVENT_AUTHOR_EMAIL], [CO_EMAIL], or a hard-coded email address. When you’ve switched to edit the message for the Primary Registrant recipient, the To: field should have [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_EMAIL].

Thanks, Josh. Everything appears to be in check with what you just suggested. Still no e-mail being generated. Any other thoughts?

Hi there,

I’ve sent a ticket over to one developers to look into what’s causing the Registration Multi-Status Summary message to not trigger. I’ll update this topic with what he finds.
