Delaying Ticketing Link Being Sent?

Hi,

I noticed that if you checkout for two events, one that does not require approval and is free and another that does require approval and is not free, the ticket e-mail is sent to include both events. My concern is that this could confuse people into thinking that they have a valid ticket to an event, whereas they may actually not have been approved. So my question is, can tickets be set to be generated and sent only after the event registration has been approved? I know this works this way if you only had checked out one event in your cart that is “approval required” classified.

Thanks!

Hi there,

Do you mean from within the link in the ‘ticket notice’ message?

You can change the shortcode used in that message from:

[TXN_TICKETS_URL]

to

[TXN_TICKETS_APPROVED_URL]

which will only show the user their tickets for Approved registrations.

Would that work?

Currently you can not prevent that message from sending as its triggered when a registrations status is changed to ‘Approved’.

Hi Tony,

Wanted to confirm that the solution you mention did in fact work, but there is something else now I’m hoping you can help with.

Along the same situation that I originally described, I am noticing that the registration confirmation e-mail (standard template) is only being sent to confirm the event that was automatically approved upon registering. For the paid event I mentioned, I have registrations set to “not approved”, or pending approval as I see it. That might pose a problem to us, because I would like the registrant to know all of what they signed up for, even if it is pending approval.

I tested this out from a different angle – whereby I signed up for only an event that is paid and that is set to “not approved” by default. The default message template for this pending-approval registration was sent as I had wanted and had expected.

Do you know how I can get around this situation so that the registrant gets properly notified on the onset for both approve and “pending approval” registrations? Can I make a custom e-mail that tackles both registration scenarios in one singular email (for efficiency)?

Thank you for your help!

Hi there,

If I’m understanding your question, it sounds like you want to use the Registration Multi-Status Summary message type.
