I just upgraded to EE4. Have got most everything working but when my customers go to register, they select the event, select register now and it takes them back to the event page. Not sure what is happening. Please help. I am in the middle of a event registration!

Hi Julie,

I just tested a registration on one of your events and could reach the payment page, is this happening on a specific event?

If so can you link me to that event so I can investigate further.

Got it to reach payment page and successfully registered 1 person but now get the following error and people are emailing me that they cant register

The following errors have occurred:
Either no Attendee information was found, or an invalid Attendee object was discovered when attempting to save your registration information.
EE_Checkout – _save_registration_attendee – 652
A valid Primary Registration for this Transaction could not be found.

Are you running any caching plugins?

Does your host run server side caching? For example are you using GoDaddy’s Managed Hosting service?

Yes, I am using GoDaddys Managed Hosting service

GaDaddy use server side caching and cache all of your sites pages when using that service.

Plugins that use dynamic data such as Event Espresso or eCommerce plugins can not be cached as the data needed must always be pulled from the database for each registrant.

Most provides allow you to set specific pages from caching however GoDaddy do not provide this option and will not allow you to exclude any pages (unless something has changed very recently). In order to use Event Espresso you’ll need to exclude the pages mentioned HERE from caching or change the hosting package to a service that does not cache all of your site.

I would recommend first contacting GoDaddys support team to check if they can now exclude pages from caching. If they can not the site need to be moved to another package that GoDaddy offers that does not cache all pages, or change hosting providers to another company that will allow this.
