having a problem with my plugins, reoccurring event, and more . Its almost like the plugin is installed and activated but it isn’t talking to the main Event Espresso theme…. As many times as I try to make a new event I never receive the “Is this a Reoccurring Event” YES or NO button. Also I do not have access to any advanced features and cannot find a spot to ad my License Keys….Is this all because my License Keys are not activated? Or a combination of problems? Anyways I could sure use some help, Thanks for your time.

Event Espresso 3.1
wordpress 4.0.1
new installation (purchased add on yesterday)

Hi Nate,

Can you tell me the exact version of Event Espresso you have installed please?

You can find this within Dashboard -> Plugins. Find Event Espresso in the list and it will display the version.

In fact, it’s ok, I can see from the link.

You are currently running Event Espresso Lite which is the Free version of the plugin.

You’ll need to download Event Espresso Premium from Your Account Page

Notice EE3 and its compatible Add-on’s are all Green. EE4 is and its compatible Add-ons are blue, be sure to use the correct core plugins + Add-on’s.

If you download EE3 from your account page you will download event-espresso.zip

We alwasy recommend creating a site backup before updating (just to be safe) and at the very least, backing up the database. We have a guide on how to do this here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-back-up-your-site/

Or you can use a plugin such as BackupWordPresss which does all the work for you.

Then simply go to Dashboard -> Plugins. De-activate and delete the current version of EE3 Lite you have installed.

Then go to Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add New -> Upload Plugin.

Select the event-espresso.zip file you downloaded previous and install that. Once activated you have access to all of the Premium features.

You can also install via FTP it you prefer, we have a guide here on how to install Event Espresso:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/installing-event-espresso/

Just us know if you have any problems.
