Many people are calling saying they are getting a PayPal is not working error when trying to make payments when booking a course. I’m using PayPal standard under the payments options. Any idea whats going on? How can I make this process better? Anyone have any tips? Does the Add-on portals work better?
PayPal standard can show that error for many reasons, it’s often caused by a cookie but the solution is to have the user clear their cache (which isn’t really viable).
However, we actually deprecated PayPal standard a while ago now in favour of PayPal Express due to how unreliable PayPal Standard can be so my recommendation is to switch to that.
