I would like to use the Promotional Codes for a 50% code. We only want to have the code used once, because it’s only for a user’s first class.
I tried using the groupon addon instead, but that takes 100% off. Can I change the Groupon add on to only take off 50%?

Hi Lee,
The Groupon add-on does not have a feature that let’s you set a different discount amount. Event Espresso doesn’t have an out of the box solution for one time usage promo codes, but it’s something we are working on for 3.2.

Update: The Promotions add-on for Event Espresso 4 is now available. It adds the ability to apply a promotional code or a group coupon (single use) and it will discount one ticket in the cart instead of all the tickets.

Just to be clear – the EE4 promotion code add-on replaces both the EE3 Promotions and Groupon Codes with a single add-on, or is the social coupon going to be a separate add-on still in development?

Hi Patrick,
Currently we have no plans for a separate Social (groupon) codes addon, we are hoping that all promotion related features will be routed through the Promotions addon. Of course, this may change in the future, but that’s our plan currently.
