Hi,

I would appreciate quick help on this one. I have the problem “Nothing in your event queue” when selecting tickets and clicking “Register”.

Event URL: http://www.jaunimoregistracija.lt/renginiai/lietuvos-jaunimo-dienos-2015/
Event Espresso 4.6.23, everything worked well before WordPress 4.2 update.
Disabling/enabling other plugins have no effect
Theme – Iced Mocha.

I am not using the CDN just one shared hosting server. Please help, registrations were live and now we are receiving many complaints from attendees.

Hi,

Which host are you using? We are seeing some shared hosting (GoDaddy for one) applying a server level caching without input from their users.

I would suggest asking them if there is any server level caching active and if so, whether your EE pages can be whitelisted (pages that need to be whitelisted can be found here:https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/)

Also I have looked at other similar support cases and unlike those cases I cannot see registration form after refresh and I don’t use any caching plugins.

My hoating provider is http://www.serveriai.lt and their support said that they do not use caching for dynamic content pages, just for image files.

Please advise.

After some investigation I found out that if I create the new event then registration works perfectly, therefore the only event that does not allow users to register, is our main event here: http://www.jaunimoregistracija.lt/renginiai/lietuvos-jaunimo-dienos-2015/

And I just tried installing the website on my localhost – issue stays the same, therefore it is not cache related or server related.

also EE4 is not modified so I have no idea what could have caused it. issue remains after I disable and delete all the other plugins and themes.

Could this be related to the huge amounts of registartions that particular event receives? up until this issue appeared there was around 450 registrations and around 3000 incomplete registrations.

Please get back to me, it’s very time sensitive matter.

Waiting for your answer.

Hi,

We are investigating this but currently can not consistently reproduce.

IF you add another ticket to your event, can you register onto that ticket?

I think I have located the issue. If I create new ticket everything works, because the description of new ticket is empty. If I copy paste my description from the old description, issue appears again. It seems that my description is too long and system somehow crashes, maybe its unsuccessfully trying to truncate description?

P.S. I have used HTML tags in description to insert line breaks.

Could you include the full ticket description that causes the breakage using something like http://pastebin.com/ and post the URL here please?

I have tickets with html and long descriptions so I’d like to narrow this down.

Hi,

Thank you for the troubleshooting steps above, this narrowed it down enough for us to find the cause.

Turns out my long descriptions weren’t quite long enough.

The issue is due to the length of the descriptions, if you reduce this down to below 255 chars your tickets will work.

We are working on a fix for this and will release an update once tested.
