No emails being sent by EE

Abruptly email confirmations have stopped on our website for Event Espresso. I have no other metrics to share other than over a hundred registrations over the last week and all our students are telling us they are just not getting them. I will purchase a support token. Please take a closer look.

Hi Troy,

First, look at the Event Espresso > Messages > Messages Activity tab. Do you see the messages being generated by Event Espresso?

If not, then make sure your messages are active (Messages Settings Tab, and the active/inactive toggle and TO field for each template).

If the messages are being generated, is WP Cron running?

I checked those two things. I don’t see any issues. I submitted a support token.

Hi Tory,

Just noting here that I have fixed this on your site.

The issue was a HTML message type sitting in the message queue.

There should never be a HTML message type sitting in the queue for sending as you cant ‘send’ those, so EE pulled in the messages and start processing them, then didn’t know what to do with that specific message and threw a fatal, which meant the batch didn’t process and a cycle of processing, throwing a fatal and starting again happened.

I removed the HTML message from the queue and now EE is processing the emails in batches.
