I have recently bought the EE4 and upgraded from lite. I am hoping to be able to enable the following functionality, but am unsure what is/is not available within the new package. Maybe i will still need some add-ons. Can you please advise.

Here is a link to my site in development. http://sandboxjokadesign.co.uk/TAG/events/saturday-cooking-club-23rd-january-2016/

I would like clients to be able
-to make multiple bookings at once eg if I have 3 children to sign up, I would like to sign them up on one click,
– once registered to ask questions- does your son/daughter have any allergies, special dietary or learning requirements? Please provide details ..
– how did you hear about us?
– not on our mailing list? Would you like to be added to our mailing list to keep up with new events?

I look forward to your advice.

Hello,

You can collect additional information for registrants by turning on the personal question group for an additional registrant through the event editor.

Custom questions can be created and then assigned to question groups. Then these question groups can be assigned through the event editor:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/add-questions-event-espresso-question-groups/

The MailChimp add-on will not add attendees/registrants based on a response to a checkbox question. It adds them if they receive a registration status of approved. This happens immediately if the event is free and they submit their registration details. If the event is paid, then this happens after they have registered and paid for their registration.

Hi Lorenzo

Thanks for your helpful advice. Unfortunately, I’m still stuck. I wonder if you could help me further, by offering any additional guidance you can to set up the custom questions. I have tried following your instructions without success. Or, is there any way I could get someone to either help me with this or at least to check over what I am doing?

Many thanks.

Joe

Lorenzo, I think I may have found a solution to my problem. Do I need the ‘Multiple Attendee Registration’ add-on https://eventespresso.com/features/multiple-attendee-registration/ ? If so, how would I get this? How much does it cost? Thanks.

Joe

Hi Joe,

It turns out that Multiple Attendee Registration is not an add-on, it’s a built in feature.
I checked your site and what it looks like is you have Maximum number of tickets allowed per order for this event: set to 1, can you try setting that to a higher number, then save the event?

Beyond that, may I ask where you’re having trouble with setting up the questions for attendees?

Thanks Josh, that helps. I now need to know how to set the info for the primary registrant, so they don’t need dietary or learning requirements. This will be ‘Mum’ so she may not even attend, she’s just the registrant. Hope that makes sense?

Hi Joe,

What you’ll do is create a question group for those requirements, add your questions to that question group.

Then you go to edit the event, then check the box next to that question group in the box labeled “Questions for Additional Registrants”.

You’ll need to be sure to not check the box next to that question group in the box labeled “Questions for Primary Registrant”.
