Hi support,
I have a couple of test events on my site, but the “/registration-checkout/” doesn’t show on mobile; however it seems to work fine when viewing the site via desktop. An example of a test even is here. Can you help me please.

Hi mrclarke,

I see the same issue on Desktop and Mobile – http://take.ms/2A6cp

The reason for this is because you are running caching and need to exclude the Event Espresso critical pages from doing so.

With W3 Total Cache is it fairly straight forward to do, we have a guide on how to do this here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/

Are you logged in when viewing from your desktop? If so the reason it is working for you on Desktop is logged in users will not be shown cached pages.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for your reply – you are correct I was logged into my site as admin when viewed on desktop, hence the reason why it didn’t seem to be affected when in fact it had been. I have added all the pages outlined in your link to the cache exception list hereImage showing what I have done and purged all the cache, but the problem is still the same..Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The pages are actually still caching.

If you view the source code of the page you’ll see something like this – http://take.ms/huzhQ

Looks like Database and Object caching are still in place.

As a quick test can you temporarily disable the caching features, do not just disable the plugin as this does not remove the cache. If you go to Performance -> General Settings you can toggle all caches on or off there – http://take.ms/GVhW6

Disable them all, save the settings, purge the cache and retest.

Hi Tony,
I have done all of the above and the problem still exist. Do you mind taken a look as I’m about to go mad. Can I PM my site admin details, so you can take a closer look.

Thanks,
Rich

Now that caching is disabling, edit this page:

http://partylink.co.uk/registration-checkout/

If should have the [ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT] within the content.

Check that is there and update the page.

If that still does not work if you send me temporary log in details using this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

HiTony,
That wasn’t the issue, but you certainly pointed me in the right direction. If it helps other users for some unknown reason I had use S2member to restrict that page to members only/logged in users and this was the reason behind my issue.

On a separate or maybe related issue Tony the page again seems to be fine on Desktop, but again on mobile I keep getting this message ” You need to select at lease one event before you can proceed with the registration process”. Do you know the possible cause of this?

Ps: I am sending you login details now as well.

Hi, I see that you mentioned that a caching plugin was in use. Does it work if you temporarily deactivate the caching feature and deactivate W3 total cache?

If so, I would try WP super cache as one of the advanced settings in W3 total cache may be causing an issue here.

I’m not seeing that issue.

Are you selecting a ticket from the ticket selector before clicking Register now?

Hi Tony,
Not sure if you read my email properly or not, but to be clear I have selected the ticket qty then click the register button…That is when the error (text info) appear. To be clear Desktop is fine and without any issue, I am using a Nexus 5, Chrome broswer (clean cache)..Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rich

Hi Tony,
Just an update, I have tried this on mobile – different broswer and it seems to be working fine, so I think the chrome browser must be still caching something so no further action required on this – thank you so much for all your help, you and the rest of EE team have been great.

Thanks,
Rich

Hi, I’m not sure what I missed?

I’ve tested on a Galaxy S4 and Nexus 7. (Chrome and the default browser)

On each device I selected a ticket quantity from the dropdown and clicked register now. I’m shown the registration page, provide my details and asked to select payment.
