I’m working on a project and I need to do the following.
Only 1 “Member” ticket can be sold per transaction, but multiple “Guest” tickets
can be sold.
How can this be done?

Hi,
Currently Event Espresso shows member prices for users logged in and standard pricing for the non-logged in users.
You could create a Guest price providing both standard and member pricing to allow users to select the amount of guest tickets they will require. However EE3 does not limit specific tickets to prevent the user selecting multiple ‘Member’ tickets as well as multiple Guest tickets.
This would require some customer development to work in EE3.
EE4 allows you to set limits on specific tickets within an event, however it currently does not support the Members Add-on, so may not suit your needs currently.

So there’s no way to limit 1 ticket type to a certain amount per transaction without custom work on the code?

Not with EE3.
You can limit the amount of tickets per transaction but not limit specific quantities for specific ticket types.
