Hey There,

I’m trying to install via WordPress, however the downloads are appearing as a folder rather than a zip file. So when I go to upload it just opens the folder with the various CSV & PHP files in. I can’t seem to find the relevant zip file…

Cheers!
Chloe

Hi Chloe,

Some browsers have a setting where they automatically unzip the zip file. What you can do to work around this is by either 1) downloading Event Espresso using a different browser or 2) re-zip the plugin folder back up by using a file zip utility.

Josh – I’ve tried this but get ‘Unable to create directory uploads/2013/12. Is its parent directory writable by the server?’ when I attempt to upload….any ideas?
Thanks!

It sounds like your server’s permissions aren’t allowing anything to be uploaded to the /uploads folder. If that’s the case you may need to contact your host’s support for help.

Alternatively, you could also install the Event Espresso plugin via FTP by following this guide:
