How to take undetermined coupon code?

We need to have a space during checkout that will allow the customer to input an code to discount the cart 100%. But the problem is that we DONT KNOW WHAT THE CODE IS. It appears that your promo and groupon plug ins must have an ‘exact’ code entered in order to work properly. What we need is a space that customer can enter ‘anything’ and it will discount the cart 100%, and if they don’t enter something then there is not discount.

We are currently doing this with The Events Calendar but can’t find a way to do it with your software. Please tell me there is a way.

Hello,

That functionality isn’t currently available in Event Espresso. However, I did have a concern on how that would work.

If the system allows you to accept any coupon / discount code, then could any of your guests simply enter some text there to get any event for free (no cost).
