Is there a way to create a pricing entry where we can choose how many of a category of attendees we are registering? example 4 adults 2 children

We are using WordPress 3.6 and Event Espresso 3.1.34.1.p This is a new installation. Thanks.

Hello there,

It currently isn’t possible to limit registrations per ticket type. You can do this with the Multiple Event Registration add-on by creating separate events for each ticket type then using the add to cart shortcode within the main event to add the ticket types to the cart. This will make it look like they are one event.

Hi Jonathan,

We aren’t trying to limit registrations. We have enabled group registrations. Not all members of a group may have the same admissions cost. An adult has one price and children have another. The event pricing provides for different standard priceings but since it appears as a drop down box on the registration form there is no way to choose what is appropriate. What we would need would be something like 2 adults @ 20.00 and 1 child at 10.00 in the same registration group.

Thanks
Jacquelyne

Hi Jacquelyne,

It sounds like you need the Multiple Event Registration plugin. This is a Cart feature.

Once an event is added to the cart, in the cart itself the user can select how many of each ticket type they wish to purchase.

This screenshot shows an event with two ticket types (group registration turned on) in the cart http://d.pr/i/MMQQ

Hi Jonathan and Dean,

Thanks for your information about that plugin. Because I can’t see this specific information in the description, I’ve got a follow up question. If an attendee chooses 2 Adults, enters the registration information, for those, but then adjusts the number of tickets in the cart to 3, will there be an opportunity for the attendee to be prompted for the additional Adults’s registration information with this plugin? I’m trying to understand the integration with the event registration information being gathered.

Thanks,

Jacquelyne

Hi Jacquelyne,

Yes. With the cart they select the ticket number then move forward to add attendee date (names etc). There is an edit cart link they can click if they need to modify the cart contents.
