We are experiencing an issue on our site in which users are adding tickets to their cart but when they go to view the cart it says that the cart is empty. We are using the Multiple Event Registration add-on so customers are given the opportunity to either go straight to registration or to view the cart. However, if they then go view the cart it says that they need to select a ticket. If we go through the process of adding items back to the cart it does sometime load but then also includes the first items that were initially lost.
It almost seems like a cache issue where the system doesn’t see the new items in the cart and our site uses a CDN so I thought that I would reach out and see if there is a know issue with using EE and a CDN.
Here are the stats for our site in case this is helpful:
WordPress Version: 5.3.2
The event that we are trying to register tickets for is this: https://nyscheesemakers.com/events/new-york-state-cheese-manufacturers-annual-spring-meeting/
If there is any other information that I can provide that would be helpful please let me know. Thanks so much and I hope we can get to the bottom of this as soon as possible.
If you could, please respond or alert changes for this ticket to my email email@example.com instead of the email address on the account. Thanks so much!
It is a caching issue related to the way that GoDaddy’s Managed WP platform just trashes the session data that’s used in the cart.
Here’s a link to the documentation that shows how to fix:
