Hi,

I am having difficulty with viewing my cart after adding an event.

After I click “Add to cart”, I click on “View Cart” and a message is displayed that reads “It looks like you are attempting to refresh a page after completing your registration or your cart is empty. Please go to the events page and try again.”

I have tried several suggestions already on this site include forcing HTTPS on the EE pages and disabling other plugins. Forcing HTTPS leads to Error 404 pages. I am waiting to hear from my host if server-side caching is happening but the permissions on the relevant folders are already set at 755.

I would appreciate any help. Can you see anything that stands out?

Hi Liam,

Thanks for sharing what you have tried so far. The following should not happen:

Forcing HTTPS leads to Error 404 pages

How are you trying to enable HTTPS for your Event Espresso pages?

Also, who is your hosting provider?

Hi Lorenzo,

I am using the WordPress HTTPS plugin version 3.3.6. I followed the guide found here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-sslhttps/

My host is Host Ireland: http://www.hostireland.com

I also use cPanel.

Thank you.

Alright, could you temporarily deactivate that plugin and provide a link to an event page so we could take a look?

I want to ensure that I can manually browse to the https version of the page.

Thanks Lorenzo,

Our events can be found here: http://nsf.ie/event-registration/

I have disabled the plugin as requested.

Hi Liam,

It turns out your domain isn’t set up for https, you would need an SSL certificate to use https, but that’s not the problem here. The problem is the sessions aren’t being saved. Can you check with your host to make sure that the server allows sessions to be written to the session save path on the server?

Thanks Josh.

I have contacted my host to ensure the save path allows this. I will follow up when they respond.
