Baffling Event espresso emails confirmation when hostted by Bluehost, same setup on Dreamhost no emails are sent, any ideas? |
Hi Donald, Is your WordPress site sending out regular WP notifications such as password resets and new user emails? — |
|
|
No, how would I test that without changing password, create a new user? |
Hello, You can just logout of the WordPress admin and go to the WP login page and try to reset the password (there is a small link). Its a two-step process so you can just request a new password but not confirm. Let me know if any emails are received. — |

yes it came right through redacted-loc
|
Alright great. Could you install this email audit plugin and activate it: http://wordpress.org/plugins/email-log/ Then try resending a registration details email through the Attendee reports page. Then check the email log to see if anything is recorded. — |

don’t see anything, see snippet, you can have the login if it would help |
Try reinstalling the software through WordPress admin –> Plugins. You can download a new copy from your Event Espresso account. Also ensure that a valid email is set in the General Settings page for Event Espresso. If that doesn’t help, then I recommend trying the Mandrill transactional email service: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/postmark-app-mandrill-transactional-email-handling-services/ They offer a free option and there is a WordPress plugin available. — |
