Hi, after looking at a number of products, EE4 looks the best;-)

Im doing a proposal to build a site for a hiking adventure company.

-should we get an SSL certificate if we use the Stripe add-on?
– can I customize the calendar so that it shows thumbnail images, kid of like the Grid view add-on which I also want to use?
-does the Grid View show events chronologically?
-do you plan to make Groupon, Recurring events, and Multi event registration available for EE4?(or are there workarounds?)

-is it possible to integrate the Calendar with Meetup?

thanks so much!
Monika

– We always recommend a SSL certificate if you’re running an e-commerce website. But with Stripe you are not required to have a ssl cert.
– The calendar has a setting to show the thumbnails, e.g. http://demoee.org/demo/calendar/ or

calendar thumbnail images

– You can use the grid template in both ascending or descending order: [ESPRESSO_GRID_TEMPLATE sort=”ASC”]
– We are in the process of releasing the Promotions add-on for EE4, see: https://eventespresso.com/topic/announcing-the-promotions-pre-release-for-event-espresso-4/ We are uncertain as to the fate of the Groupon functionality, but I would think we might add an import option to the Promotions code add-on (but uncertain yet). Multiple Event Registration is also in progress, and Recurring Events is not yet started. However, in my opinion, the recurring events add-on is less necessary for EE4 because it’s really easy to ada additional datetimes per event: https://eventespresso.com/features/multiple-dates-times-per-event/ However, if you’re scheduling say 50 datetimes at a time, then it would be useful.
– How do you want the calendar to integrate with meetup?

Very very cool! We wil be using EE4.
The Meetup integration in an option, and I think the Grid View will do what we need. Here is a non WP site that has the Meetup Integration that my friend wants, but she needs EE4 because that web site’s events are free: http://www.sierramountaineeringclub.org/events

Her guided trips are a business venture and she will be selling spots. it would be very helpful if each event was shown in the Grid like the example above with the little note that says “3 spots left” or “Sold out” ect automatically generated. Maybe its something we can have customized when the site is up and running?

Thank You!

Great.

I’m sure it’s possible to add some cool features like that to the grid template (either add them to the add-on or somethings specific to that site). Just contact us later on and we can talk about the options.
