EE 4.8.31 Compatible with WP-Mail-SMTP

I’m having trouble getting emails to send from EE. Every time I try I get an error stating “An error has occurred: Something went wrong and the message for this registration was NOT sent”. I’m able to successfully send emails from WP-Mail-SMTP however I cannot send the from the “Check Email” plugin.

Grateful for any suggestions/help you can provide.

Hello, the check email plugin attempts to send out a basic test email from WordPress. If that is failing, then their may be another issue on the site.

Have you considered using a transactional email service like Sendgrid or Postmark app? They specialize in sending emails and both have a free tier:
