I’m not receiving any registration details in my e-mail, and people who register are also not getting their confirmations. I’ve testrf the WordPress mailing function outside of EE and it works fine. I’ve also checked my spam folder throughout the day and tried re-sending e-mails from the registrations list. The important info Plugins |
Hi, Toggle the messages system off and then on via WP-admin –> Event Espresso –> Messages –> Settings. Then setup a transactional email service like Mandrill or Postmark app: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/postmark-app-mandrill-transactional-email-handling-services/ These help ensure that notifications arrive to the inbox and are not lost. Mandrill offers a free tier up to 12,000 emails per month so that is a good option to begin with. — |

So there’s no way to actually get the built-in function working? |
Hi Jonathan,
If you install a plugin such as WP Mail Log and repeat a test registration you will likely find the emails are being sent from EE to WordPress, then from WordPress to you Server (which can do any number of steps). If that is not the case we can investigate further. Generally speaking when the EE emails are not received, they are being marked as spam either by your server or the receiving servers. This can be due to incorrectly configured mail servers, blacklisted IP’s etc. What the Mandrill/Postmark plugins do, is remove your server from the equation and send all mail through (for example) the Mandrill Servers. You can rely on these servers to be correctly configured/maintained to send mail as the companies business model relies on that. They also provide indepth reporting on the mail sent which can come in very handy for your events. |
