I’ve been getting a lot of complaints about The confirmation emails going into their spam folder. I think it’s because they say wordpress in the FROM section. Is there anyway to change this to where it says it comes from me and not WORDPRESS? I kno for a fact that every email address for gmail, yahoo, hotmail etc goes directly into the spam folder.

Hi Guy,

If you’re using EE3, and your email server supports it, you can change the email setting in Event Espresso > General Settings. You set “Use fancy email headers?” to Yes. It will be best to verify that the emails still send after making that change.

You can ensure better email deliverability and reduce notifications going to spam by using a transactional email service. What may be actually happening is your site is hosted on a shared server, where one of the neighboring sites on that server is actually being used to send spam, so any emails getting sent from your server/IP are flagged as spam.
