I’m having a hell of a time manually changing the payment status of attendees. I’m on the most current EE 3.1.31.1.

I”m in the “edit attendee payment record” and it has a red box around the payment amount and the amount paid to date, but it won’t let me edit the amount paid to date. It also won’t let me change the status to completed. Every time I select completed on the drop down and press update at the bottom nothing happens.

So frustrating!

I have to reconcile a lot of registration details on the back end because many of my students pay with cash or check.

Can you please tell me what’s going wrong. This use to work on my old version. Ever since I updated there are soo many things that aren’t working! ugh….

Hi rpicker,

I’m sorry for the trouble. The field you want to enter a payment amount into is labeled: Enter New Payment Amount. After entering an amount where it says “Enter New Payment Amount”, you’ll need to enter a transaction type and transaction ID if the transaction fields are blank.

When all three fields have been entered and the amount owning matches the “New Payment amount”, the payment status will automatically get set to complete after you click “Update Payment”.

Thanks for the fast reply.

That is completely unintuitive. I kept trying to type into the field ” Total Amount Paid to Date: ( $ )” and of course nothing was happening.

In my mind ” Enter New Payment Amount: ( $ )” doesn’t equate to payment made….seams like that would be used if you changed the amount they would pay, such as you pro-rated the cost down for a late registrant.

Also do I need to make unique transaction id every time? That seams like a pain. Something I wasn’t planning on keeping track of.

Thanks for the feedback.

You can enter anything you’d like in the transaction ID. It’s used in cases where someone needs to be able to cross reference payments with their gateway (used in accounting).
