Hello –

Our primary calendar that uses the shortcode of [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] stopped displaying today. However, other calendars that are limited to displaying a single category work fine.

The page where it’s not working can be found here: http://www.brookfieldlibrary.org/community-room-calendar

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks –
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

It looks like the server is running low on memory. Which version of the calendar is installed?

Hi Jennifer,

Can you tell us any background about what’s changed with your website? Did you update some files or plugins or wordpress?

This is a related thread: https://eventespresso.com/topic/calendar-stopped-working/ with additional JavaScript documentation here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-event-espresso/#registration

Let us know if that helps, or need more specific instructions or want us to do it for you (support token).

Josh – I am running version 2.0.6.2

Garth – The only thing I did plugin-related was disable then re-enable Gravity Forms this morning.

Thanks –
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

When I view the web page that you linked to the HTML ceases to generate after the closing script tag that closes some Google Analytics code. So that’s just before the closing of the head tag, which could be something hanging on the wp_head() function.

You may need to do some troubleshooting along the lines of deactivating a few plugins, checking how much memory is available to WP.

There could be a query limit involved here as well, which you can narrow down by temporarily deactivating a few of the calendar’s features (like category colors, tooltips, and attendee limits). These features do multiply the number of queries it takes to load up a calendar page when they are enabled.

Hi, Josh –

Disabling tooltips did the trick. Can you tell me, though, why this would suddenly happen, when nothing else was changed on the site?

Thanks –
Jennifer

The tooltips adds more queries to the page load for each event in the calendar. So if you added any new events, it could have put you over the query limit.

Bummer. Thanks for the explanation, though.
