Really strange issues, and I can’t figure it out. I don’t know it its a theme conflict. Its strange ๐Ÿ™

if you scroll and try to register on this page
http://www.livingbigevents.co.uk/events/livingbig-event-26th-oct-2013/

when you click submit, you are returned with a blank page

HOWEVER

if you click on this page http://www.livingbigevents.co.uk/events/livingbig-dinner-29th-aug/

it works fine, no problem

I’ve been checking categories, ulrs , settings and its all identical, only difference being titles and categories??

How to fix this?

It looks like the Aug 29th event has an address entered in the theme’s event info box, but the Oct 26th event does not.

This may be related to the JS error that is being thrown:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘offsetWidth’ of null

That seems to have something to do with the location scripts that are running.

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11740663/google-map-api-uncaught-typeerror-cannot-read-property-offsetwidth-of-null

If you go to the Event Espresso registration native registration form:

http://www.livingbigevents.co.uk/event-registration/?ee=5

You can test there to see whether or not it’s an issue with the theme.

Hi Josh, I tried that, used the same address details but no luck.

Tried the link you suggested and still no luck but the dinners events seem fine??

Looks like it’s throwing an internal server error. Here’s a link to our documentation that has some tips on how to troubleshoot these:

Hi Josh, I deleted the event and added it again. It appears to be , if the event contains the word “event” / “events” then some conflict seem to happen. If Name the events with out the word event , then it seems fine???

how do we go about finding out what this url/ title with word “event” in it is causing the issue?

Because I change the name to LivingBig Live from The LivingBig Event, it moves to the next page

please help

thanks
J

Thats good troubleshooting, thanks for that.

Can you try changing the event name to include “event” and publish it. Then go to the Settings > Permalink menu and just save the options. Reason for this is I am wondering if it some weird permalink issue to do with you using the Event Custom Post Type.
