Add to Cart/Registration Page Error

So I have seen many similar topics that describe my situation very well; unfortunately, none of the solutions seem to work for me.

When trying to add an item to the cart, the user is instead taken to the registration page which just displays a list of all events.

If you try to go to the shopping cart, you get the error: “It looks like you are attempting to refresh a page after completing your registration or your cart is empty. Please go to the events page and try again.”

Wordpress version: 4.0.1
EventEspresso version 3.1.36.6.P
EventEspresso – Calendar version 2.2.4.p
EventEspresso – Recurring Events version 1.1.8.p
This is a new installation.
Registration page URL: http://test.ancestralknowledge.org/?page_id=21

Based on some previous comments, I have checked:
Log directory is writable.
/tmp is writeable.
The folder permissions look good.
I don’t think caching is the issue because I have another WordPress/EventEspresso install on another domain on the same server/webhost which works fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi William,

There are four WordPress pages with shortcodes that Event Espresso needs to process registrations correctly. They can be found in Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Page Settings (scroll down the page).

First, please check that those pages are set correctly via the General Settings page for Event Espresso.

Next, go to WordPress pages and search for Espresso_Events. How many search results are returned?

Hey, thanks for your help.

I checked the four EventEspresso pages in EventEspresso -> General Settings -> Page Settings. They all point to the intended pages, which all have the required shortcodes.

The search for Espresso_Events only returns the one registration page.

Thoughts?
Thanks!

Hi, could you enable pretty permalinks through WP-admin –> Settings –> Permalinks?

Once on that page, select postname and save changes.

Also, is the Multiple events registration add-on up to date? I did not see a version number in your list of plugins in your original post.

Hi.

Ok, I have set the permalinks to ‘post name’. No change in the system’s behavior; still the same problem.

Regarding the version number, the EventEspresso – Recurring Events plugin is version 1.1.8.p. Is that what you were asking?

Ah. I think that was it. I hadn’t installed the multiple events registration registration add-on plugin. I did, and it seems to work now. Thanks!
