Add more tickets to cart

Have the problem that once one type of ticket has been added to the cart for an event, more tickets of different types for the same event can not be added to the cart because the add to cart button is replaced by view cart. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi there,

If the user clicks the view cart button with no additional tickets selected then it will direct the user straight to the cart, however if they select any additional tickets and click the button EE will add those tickets to the cart and show the cart modal (this –

So it is expected that the ticket selector button will change when you have tickets in the cart but you can add additional tickets if needed.

If I have 3 different date times for an event and a separate ticket for each date time, lets call them tickets A, B and C.

If a user adds 3 ticket A to cart then continues browsing the event without processing the cart and then decides to add some ticket B to the cart they are unable to because as long as ticket A is in the cart the ticket selector changes from add to cart to view cart. To purchase ticket A and B when ticket A is already in the cart the have to remove ticket A from their cart and then add Ticket A and B at the same time from the ticket selector.

This appears to be a problem with the embedded ticket selector or ticket selector when being used on pages other than the event page the tickets are being sold for. If done on the event espresso event page for the tickets being purchased then the view cart button will add any selected tickets to the cart but this is counter intuitive (pressing view cart to add more tickets to the cart).

Hello Cypher,

I am sorry for the delay in response. I have been doing some testing and I not experiencing what you are seeing. I pasted shortcodes, as well as the embed codes on a page. Then I added events to the cart and in the popup after adding events to the cart, I see there are several options. If I choose “Return to Event List”, I am taken back to the main event list and see Add to Cart for all events except the one I already added to the cart. It says, “View Event Cart”.

Is this not what you are seeing? If you are seeing something different, try to rule out any plugin conflicts. Deactivate all non Event Espresso plugins and test to see if the issue is still occurring. If it is not, then we know it is a problem with another plugin. You can then find out which plugin it is by reactivating each plugin individually and testing to see if the problem starts happening after the activation. When it occurs after activating a plugin, then we know this is the culprit.
