NEW Problem noticed August 23, 2023. As an Event Administrator – they can can access registrations, venues, promotions, but not Events. The machine has Windows 10, it has been tried in multiple browsers and all give the same error message. Not sure how to resolve this. Rather challenging for someone who is supposed to be in charge of events. Thoughts?

It says the link you followed has expired. Do I need to extract the zip first?

No, that usually means your sites max upload size set within PHP is lower than the size of the zip file so it won’t allow the download.

Does your hosts control panel allow you to change PHP settings?

Go to Dashboard -> Media -> Add new.

Your not doing anything on that page but it will show you the ‘Maximum upload file size’, what is it?

2 MB

Yeah that’s the problem, the file is over 20MB

Open a ticket with your host requesting they increase the file limit and you should be able to upload the above after that.

Okay I found how to change the upload max file size. What should I set it to?

Hi there,

Just noting here that 5.0.10.p has been pushed live.

If you don’t see it on your site just yet then go to Event Espresso -> General Settings, make no changes and just hit save to force an update check.

The update should then show in Dashboard -> Plugins as normal.

Hi there,

5XX errors are server-side errors, the above is a timeout from your server basically timing out the request.

When exactly do you see that error?

it appeared a little while after clicking update, but It seems to have done what it needed to do and she can now get in and work on events. Thank you
