WP User Integration users still in back end…

Hello there,

I’m using Paid Memberships Pro for a yearly fee and I have your WP User Integration.  I also use My WordPress Login Logo.

I’m testing to make sure the users are only directed to the front end when they register and view their events, but it seems they still go to the back end of WP even though I’ve published the two pages w/ short codes (my events & edit profile).

Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong?  And, is there a way to test these settings to see if they function properly and see how they would be viewed by subscribers?

Thanks so much!

Hi,

It sounds alike a set up problem with the membership plugin more than anything else, as WP User Integration doesnt deal with registration/login, so it wont puch people to the back end, WordPress does that by default.

I would re-examine the settings you have in place.

And, is there a way to test these settings to see if they function properly and see how they would be viewed by subscribers?

Create a new user in the back end (Users menu) and login with those user credentials. You could use an incognito (via Chrome) to do this and stay logged in as an admin, or use the ever so useful User Switching plugin. Or just log out and in as the user.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your response.

Okay, I will keep trying.  It’s definitely sending to the back end.  I’ll look at the member plugin again.

There is also a setting in the WP user integration add-on (in Event Espresso>Member Settings) that lets you point to a custom log in and member registration page. That would help in the case where your other member plugin has front-end pages that are used to log in/register.

Ohhhh…that’s right!  Awesome!

I’ll go look and see if they have that!

Thanks!
