Hi!

So i bought the wp-user add on, thinking that it would include everything i need. But now after i bought it, turns out that:

  • it does not include a form, only a link to the standard form
  • it does not include the option to redirect to the current page after a client logs in
  • This would mean that the form logs totally unprofessional if i don’t want to download any other plugins to style it. (also i looked in the documentation which advices to download 2 plugins which have not been updated over 2 years)

And this would also mean that if someone is looking at an event and is ready to register, wants to login as an returning user, and then they get directed to their account page instead of the registration page/current page they were watching? Doesn’t this completely undo the purpose of the wp-user add on?

Please let me know if i am missing something(must be missing something, as normally i LOVE all your products, but now i am really confused, feels like i spend 35 euro’s/dollars for nothing:()Like i bought this add on, and now i need to find additional plugins to make it work smoothly?

Please help, i am going crazy trying to figure out what i am missing here haha.

    Cheers!

    Hi Ruby,

Thanks for the feedback. It turns out that the reason we did not include a customized log in form is because many people use a membership plugin like S2Member, which already has a customized log in form.

The Login Logo plugin continues to be highly recommended despite it not needing an update for some time. If you prefer to use a plugin that changes the log in screen that’s been updated more recently, I can also suggest this one:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-login/

Along with that, here’s a guide that shows how to set up a custom redirect after log in:

    Hi!

Thank you for the quick reply! My apologies for my delay in replying, have been traveling a lot.
I found another custom login plugin which helped me a bit with editing the login form, however was not able to add a form in a widget. Maybe that is something you guys can add in future updates for the wp-user add on, i think the amount you pay right now for what you get is not really in balance. (however other products you have are in balance).

I added your suggestion to my function.php for the redirect url, can’t test it yet as i am now having some problems with receiving the e-mails to some e-mail addresses. But i openened a new topic for questions related to the e-mails, so will close this topic as resolved.

Anyway thank you for the quick response, suggesting options etc. Great service and really appreciated!

    Cheers,
