Hi, Trying to update EE4 in staging area but it fails? How can I test this if it fails? Can someone help please. Thanks Ian |
Hi Ian, Can you explain a little more as to what is failing? Are there any error messages displayed? |

Hi, Yes sure, WP engine has a staging area, in this area you can test updates and then let them loose on live sites. When I update the plugin it fails. In setings it says: You have the correct Site License Key for Event Espresso but your current membership access only allows for automatic upgrades on one domain. Please log into your account to manage your Site License Keys. All i want to do is test the update is ok? Ian |
Thank you, I understand now. For staging you’ll need to update Event Espresso manually, this would basically be: 1. Backup the database. |

Hi Ian, Thats because your current support license is linked to your primary domain. A support license links to one domain at a time. Are you planning on pushing the staging site onto live afterwards? — |
|
|
Yes i will push to live site afterwards. Ian |
Hi Ian, I’ve just reset your Support License Key. In a few minutes, you’ll receive a confirmation to your email address on your Event Espresso account. If you are using Event Espresso 4, please login to your WordPress admin and locate Event Espresso in the admin menu. Then click on General Settings. Copy the existing key which appears at the top of the page. Then erase the existing key and click on Save on the right side of the screen. After the page refreshes, please paste your key and click on Save once more. These steps will refresh your Support License Key for Event Espresso. — |
