I’m working on adding an events section to a website that needs to allow registrants to cancel their orders. I’ve set it up so that anyone trying to register will first be directed to create a WordPress user account, and then to the events registration page. However, once they are then redirected to their My Events page, I’m not seeing a way for them to cancel out of an event. Is there a way to do this with EE4?

Hi there,
Currently users can not cancel their own registration with EE4, they would need to contact the event admin and have them cancel the registration for them.

Can users and/or participants in an event cancel their registration with EE3?

Yes, the EE3 user integration add-on has a cancel registration button.
Note that it simply updates the registrations ‘payment status’ to cancelled. A refund is not automatically issued to the user as this would need to be done manually through the payment gateway.

I think that solves our problem, as we are not collecting payment for these events. We purchased EE4 yesterday; is there a way to return it for EE3 instead?

Sure, if you open up your account page, you should see a dropdown to change your license just above your support keys.
