Why is attendee status labeled "pending" after successful payment made

Two people registered for a class, and on the “Overview Report” their status is noted as pending. Id like them to get a confirmation email and a thank you screen, which all seem to be linked properly, but I cannot get them to work. I can send a manual email to them, but the auto response isn’t working. Do you have any insights? Thanks!

Hi M,

Which Payment method are they using?

Can you link to one of your events so we can run a test registration please?

Hi,
I am using FirstData payment gateway, EE3, WP 3.8.1, Creativo-Rocky Themes template, Safari 6.1.2 My customers used a credit card through FirstData.

Here is a link to the registration page:
https://www.delabee.com/event-registration/?ee=26

Should I be getting an email from FirstData as well – confirming registrants’ payments?

I don’t want to confuse the issue, but on 3/12 at 7:30 (https://eventespresso.com/topic/ee-will-not-direct-to-firstdata-e4-payment-gateway/page/2/#post-85640) Lorenzo fixed an issue with the “attendee pre-approval required” option, under the “add featured image” option on the “Add Event” page. And now it isn’t working again. I wonder if this is playing some role in this.

I just contacted my payment gateway. It seems that the codes inserted into the “Authorize.net Relay Response Settngs” differ from the settings in the EE “payment settings” menu. They differ by one number. Additionally, I purchased an SSL certificate yesterday and it’s been updated on ipage, but not elsewhere. I will changed all of the urls on the gateway site, but where do I need to change the urls in EE and WP?

Are you still able to respond to this topic on this thread? It seems that EE needs to give me a new code to enter into my “payment settings” -> “relay response url” due to the recent change to security on my site. How do I access that information?

Are you using Authorise.net or FirstData?

The ‘relay response url’ is provided on the Payment Settings for you to input into your Authorize.net account. We do not alter this, the field pulls the url from your site to make it easier to find.

However it appears you are using FirstData?

Yes, FirstData. The problem is twofold…
#1, it seems that the url in EE is different from the one in FirstData. On the EE “payment settings’ drop down under ‘relay response url’, the code is http…….2. And then, on FD portal. it is http………4. (Also, under the blue “?” next to the actual ‘relay response url’ code, it has the http……4.)
#2, This all seems to be a mute point, because I now need a httpS code to enter in both places since my sight is no longer a http… but now a httpS since I purchased a SSL Certificate.

How do I get the correct code to enter into FirstData?
Thanks

Hello, I checked your site and I see the following when trying to use First Data:

Unable to proceed with payment

Could you double check that your Page Id and Transaction Key are correct?

I have checked and they are correct…however, I talked to FirstData and it is all about the ‘relay response url’ on EE and FD not matching. Yesterday, I have updated my website to be a secure https and all of the codes have the old one beginning http. I need the new code to enter into FD and this should resolve the issue. Do you know where I can get the updated ‘relay response url’?

Okay, go to your First Data settings in Event Espresso –> Payment Settings.

Then toggle Force HTTPS on Return URL to on.

This will update the relay page URL to https.

Let me know if this helps.

Im sorry, I don’t’ know what “toggle Force HTTPS on Return URL to on” means.

Go to WordPress admin –> Event Espresso –> Payment Settings. Then find First Data E4 settings on the page.

There is a setting for Force HTTPS on Return URL.

Place a checkmark (toggle) and save changes. The page will reload and you’ll see that the relay URL is now using https.

Egads-I was over thinking it! It worked… going now to enter the code in FD. This should resolve all of the other problems (return emails/pending status, yaddah, yaddah!) …Thank you EE Staff for your help!!

Are payments now going to the First Data page or is that message still appearing?
