I am developing an online reservation system for training courses, events and room hire, and we need Credit Card, EFT & SWIFT facility to take payments.
So the functionality must include room hire, online registration, course registration, online payments.
Also, need a page showing a list of the available courses with summary information (and the ability to enrol from there).
Plus, the ability (on that page) to ‘drill down’ to get more information (and the ability to enrol from there as well).
Which version do I need and which plugins do you recommend?
I’m confused as to whether all EE3 plugins work with EE4.

Hi Martin,
Thank you for contacting us! We appreciate your interest in Event Espresso.
While we don’t have support for SWIFT in either version, we do have support for EFT and Credit Card processing through the gateways here: https://eventespresso.com/features/payment-options/
By the requirements listed, I think that EE4 should work just fine for you. You can have lists of events with information as well as the ability to register and pay for the events.

Many thanks for your reply. We would very much like to implement Event Espresso, I just want to make sure it can do everything we are planning. This project is a migration to WordPress.
Regarding payment options, I see different gateways under EE3 and EE4. Can you explain how I might use the ANZ Gateway (EE3) in EE4?
Also, can I share with you some links (via email, or otherwise) showing the current site’s room booking request form and online registration for courses?

Hi Martin,
ANZ Gateway is not currently supported for EE4. We don’t currently have plans for implementing it, but it could be custom built.

I think EE4 would generally be a good fit for for your needs, but one aspect is still being worked on: discounts.
