Hello,

We have been using event espresso on http://msi-healing.com/event-calendar for many years and run weekly events that have been on-going for a long time. As of recently, we have noticed that the dates on these events are getting moved to Sunday on the Calendar while remaining on their correct date in the back end event manager. The issue was reported to us by our client a few times but by the time we were able to see it the system appeared to have corrected itself. As of today, the issue has returned and we were able to duplicate. I will attach the calendar view and back end view of an example so that you can see what I mean (it may correct itself by the time you find this ticket but we are trying to narrow down the cause). You will see on the screenshots that the weekly event shows on Wednesday as it should for the month of June but in July the event is showing on Sundays which is incorrect.

We are using Event Espresso Version 3.1.37.11.P and Event Espresso – Calendar Version 2.2.7.p.

I read on a few other threads that a common cause of date issues is date_default_time_set() being managed in the theme or other plugins so I did a mass search in the theme and all plugins to confirm that this function is not being called.

Thank you in advance!

Hi there,

So it appears that the events that happen on the current day of the week are the ones that get moved. So if there isn’t any events on the current day of the week you wouldn’t see the issue. Something similar was reported here:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/33576241/fullcalendar-displaying-event-in-the-wrong-day-in-month-view-of-current-month

Do you have a staging/development site that’s a copy of the production site, where you could try switching to the default theme and deactivating all other plugins?

Hi Josh,

We certainly do. We will give this a try next Wednesday when it would presumably occur again and will report back our findings.

Thank you for the prompt reply!

You can actually try any day of the week that has events scheduled. For example, today the Thursday events don’t appear in the correct place.

Do you notice that today there’s no Thursday events on the calendar?

Thanks Josh,

I went ahead and and tested this on a demo environment and was able to narrow down that Jigoshop Version 1.18.3 is what is causing this conflict. Is there any chance you have heard of a way to make the two work together? Possibly some settings we could toggle to get the calendar dates showing? We are currently working to get Jigoshop update to the latest version which appears to correct this issue but it is vital that we have the dates corrected in the meantime. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated !

Thank you!

You could try patching your old copy of Jigoshop with the datetime fix they added in the later version in the meantime.
