Warning on plugin install page

Hey there,
the Event Espresso plugin causes the following warning on my plugin install page (the warning is gone when I deactivate the EE plugins).

Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$slug in /my_host/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-plugin-install-list-table.php on line 50

I know there is an update available (not sure if this will fix it), but since this is my dev Server, I can’t update it.

My current Version: Event Espresso – 4.8.4.p Version 4.3

Any suggestions?

Best

Hi Olaf,

I’m not seeing that on EE 4.8.7, though the issue itself is just a notice, and turning wp_debug off will remove the message.

Have you tried disabling all other plugins and trying with just EE active?

You can update n your development server, you will just need to do so manually by downloading the latest version from your account page and following standard WP manual install instructions: https://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Manual_Plugin_Installation

Hi Dean,
thx for the fast response.
Unfortunately updating didn’t help, even though all other plugins were deactivated when testing.

Turning wp_debug off will remove the message, yes, but I’m not really comfortable with that solution, since I need the debug information when developing.

Hi Olaf,

Do you have the Genesis theme active?

Hi Josh,
no, it is a custom theme.

You can remove the warning by going into the wp_options table and removing the _site_transient_update_plugins option from the options table.
