I get a warning on the html registration receipt and on invoice:
Warning: getimagesize(): http:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in /***/***/visualisierung.training/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/libraries/shortcodes/EE_Transaction_Shortcodes.lib.php on line 289

Warning: getimagesize(http://visualisierung.training/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/VF-Logo-Transaprent-200x44px.png): failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /***/***/visualisierung.training/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/libraries/shortcodes/EE_Transaction_Shortcodes.lib.php on line 289

And when I switch to download PDF this message appears and no PDF is shown:
Warning: getimagesize(): http:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in /***/***/visualisierung.training/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/libraries/shortcodes/EE_Transaction_Shortcodes.lib.php on line 289

I have tried to upload another picture and to actualize the image through FTP, both did not change the issue

Hi Heinz,

This error:

http:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0

Means that fopen has been disabled on your server.

Event Espresso 4 uses DOMFPDF to generate the PDF’s. That library requires fopen to be enabled on the server.

I would recommend contacting your host and have them enable fopen for your site.

Thank you have activated that through the php.ini
A pity that now the server is open for attacks from outside.
Do you not have another possibility to generate PDFs?

Do you not have another possibility to generate PDFs?

There are a few open source PDF generators, all of which (as far as I know) require fopen. I may be wrong on that, but short of writing our own PDF library there isn’t much we can do.

Thank you! I just noticed that many provider do not recommend to activate fopen.
For now it works.
