Want to add a second email address to be notified when people sign up

I recently got a virtual assistant and am trying to have her help with some admin issues. As it stands now when people sign up for a event I get notified. I want to make it so that I get notified as well, as my assistant. I found somewhere on the expresso site that to do this requires…

If you wish to have more than one primary contact email address entered here, you’ll need to hook into the wp_mail() function so it overrides the “Reply to:” address when sending out notifications from Event Espresso.

Don’t know how do to that or what that means. Any one provide any insight? I have wordpress 3.8.4 and event expresso Event Espresso – 3.1.30.5P

Thanks!

Hi Ted,

The merchant email is set in the General Settings page of Event Espresso. Have you tried adding both emails there?

You can add multiple email addresses to the “Alternate Email Address” options when you create an event. Separate each email address by commas.

What I suggest doing though which is easier to manage is create an email distribution group. Then add that email address either to the Primary Email Contact in the General Settings of Event Espresso or add that email group email address to the same settings as above for each event. The email group will let you easily add people to all the notifications instead of having to edit each event and adding all the email addresses separately.
