Waiting List – Assign Attendees to Event

Hi,

I have worked out how to assign an overflow event when registration is full. However, please can you tell me how to assign the registrants on the waitlist to the attendee list of the original event when a spot becomes free?

I would appreciate your advice on best practice for setting up hundreds of events and implementing a waitlist on each of them, if they get full.

Regards

Tony

Hi Gail,

Currently this would need to be done manually, although we do have the Attendee Re-assignment Add-on which allows you to move attendees from one event (in this case the waitlist event) to another (your main event)

When creating your events each of those events will need to have the waitlist manually assigned to that event.

Waitlist events are basically just normal events with a different ‘status’, so in order to set one up for each event you would need to create 2 sets of events, the main and the waitlist, then assigned each individual waitlist event to each main event.

Unfortunately Event Espresso currently has no way to increment the waitlist events, so for example, if you create a series of events using the Recurring Events Manager and assign a waitlist event, all of the events in that series will use the same waitlist event unless you manually edit each event and set a specific event.
