This guys, This is a continuation from virtual courses

Setting up a course that is 100% online only. Need some guidance on the settings.

In the section “Event Date Lines” having some problems with what to record. Rec’d these suggestions previously;

Set the limit of the datetime and tickets to nothing to have infinite tickets.

and

Set the limit on the datetime to nothing, as in remove any value set in the field and save. Do the same with the ticket limits.

When I remove the dates in the EVENT START & EVENT END fields it displays “invalid date” in each of those fields. Similarly if I record 0000-00-00 00-00 am

What should I record in the “LIMIT” field?

In the section below this “AVAILABLE TICKETS, should I record valid dates ie today until, say, 100 years from now?

Thank you

Event Start & Event End

Hi John,

It sounds like you are confusing the Limit fields with the Date fields.

As mentioned in my last reply:

Set the limit on the datetime to nothing, as in remove any value set in the field and save. Do the same with the ticket limits.

The date and times you leave set in the future, do not set those to 00/00/0000.

You set the date fields to something in the future and set the limit fields to nothing, an empty field. So:

When I remove the dates in the EVENT START & EVENT END fields it displays “invalid date” in each of those fields. Similarly if I record 0000-00-00 00-00 am

I’m not sure why you are removing the date field, as mentioned above you set them to a future date. You can’t set a date of 0000-00-00 within any of Event Espresso date fields as that’s not a valid date. So set the date to something far in the future, for example 2100-09-04 08:00 am and 2100-09-04 05:00 pm.

Then set the limit/qty fields to nothing so there is no limit, a limit of 0 means no tickets available, no limit at all means unlimited tickets.

So something like this: https://monosnap.com/file/AVjTtOtkmPV0tUkcgKnKt62goCAfeo

Should get you an event far into the future with no ticket/sale limits on that event, is that what you are looking for?

Yes, was mixing up the terminology of nothing meaning zero with nothing meaning blank / empty.

Seems to be sorted now as i was able to reference from the image you included.

Thanks
