Hi there, When applying a payment in Event Espresso there are 2 steps that can take time: 1. Adding the payment to the database and updating the transaction status along with the registration status for the regs attached to it 2. Sending the emails associated with the action. The last reports we had of long wait times to add a payment was a result of the reserver waiting for the emails to send, so are you selecting to send the Payment/Registration emails when applying a payment? If so if you test adding a payment without triggering the emails, do it go through quicker? Is this section – http://take.ms/zWGdt |

Hi Hazel,
That doesn’t apply a payment to the transaction, it just approves the registration so they wouldn’t get a payment received email, just the ‘Registration Approved’ message and yes the admin would need to wait for the page to load. So it depends on what ‘receipt of payment’ you are referring to if that will work for you but even then EE will show the transactions as incomplete if you use that option.
Great, you should notice a relatively significant speed boost when moving to PHP7. |
